Ensuring important emails land directly in your inbox is crucial for smooth communication. Cox WebMail allows you to manage email delivery preferences by adding safe senders and configuring filters. This guide will walk you through the steps to effectively manage your inbox by adding senders to your safe list and creating filters. Let’s get started!

  1. Log in to your Cox WebMail account:

Go to the Cox WebMail login page and enter your credentials to access your account.

  2. Add the email address to your contact list:
    1. Click on the Contacts tab at the top of the page.
    2. Click Add Contact.
    3. Fill out the contact form with the email address you want to add as a safe sender.
    4. Click Save to store the contact.

Tip: Adding senders to your contact list is the simplest way to ensure their emails are not marked as spam.

  3. Create an email filter:
    1. Navigate to the Settings menu by clicking the gear icon.
    2. Select Filters from the list.
    3. Click on Add Filter.
    4. Name your filter and set the criteria to match the desired sender's email address.
    5. In the actions section, choose Move to Folder and select Inbox.
    6. Click Save to create the filter.
  4. Add the sender to your safe senders list:
    1. Within the Settings menu, select Security to find the Safe Senders feature.
    2. Enter the email address that you wish to mark as safe.
    3. Click Add to update your safe senders list.
  5. Check your spam folder regularly:

Periodically review emails in your spam folder to ensure nothing important is misclassified. If necessary, mark those emails as "Not Spam" to teach the filter over time.

Tip: Consistently managing your spam filter can greatly improve its accuracy in differentiating important emails.
