-
Navigate to your Settings menu.
Once logged in, locate the Settings icon, usually represented by a gear or wrench, in the upper right corner of the screen and click on it.
-
Open the Spam Settings section.
In the settings menu, find Mail, then select Spam Settings to manage your spam filters and safe senders list.
-
Add email addresses to your Safe Senders list.
Locate the Safe Senders or Allowed Addresses section. Here, you can manually enter the email addresses you want to add by clicking the Add button or similar option.
Tip: Always double-check email addresses for typos to avoid missing important emails.
-
Include contacts in your address book.
Emails from contacts in your address book are less likely to go to spam. To add a contact, click the Contacts tab, select Add New Contact, and input the necessary details. Save the contact to your address book.
-
Create a filter to prevent emails from going to spam.
Under the Mail or Rules section, choose Create a New Filter. Set conditions such as "If From contains [email address], then move to Inbox".
Tip: Use specific conditions to ensure accurate filtering.
-
Review and save your settings.
Once you've added the necessary addresses and created filters, go over your changes to ensure everything is correct. Click Save or Apply to confirm your settings.
By following these steps, you can significantly reduce the risk of missing important emails by keeping them in your inbox and out of the spam folder. Regularly updating your safe senders will help maintain your email's effectiveness.
