In SBC Global mail, you can add senders to a safe senders list, use filters, and manage your contact list to receive important emails directly in your inbox. Follow the steps below to configure your SBC Global Mail settings.

Steps to Add Safe Senders and Manage Your Inbox

  1. Add a Sender to Your Contact List
    1. Log in to your SBC Global account.
    2. Open an email from the sender you want to add.
    3. Click on the sender's email address at the top of the email.
    4. Select Add to Contacts from the dropdown menu.
    5. Fill in any additional details and click Save.
    6. Tip: Adding a sender to your contact list can help prevent their emails from being marked as spam.

  2. Create a Filter to Allow Emails
    1. Go to the settings gear icon in the top-right corner and select Settings.
    2. Navigate to the Filters section.
    3. Click Add New Filter.
    4. Name your filter for easy identification.
    5. In the criterion fields, enter the sender's email address.
    6. Choose Move to Inbox under actions.
    7. Click Save to activate the filter.

  3. Add to Safe Senders List
    1. Access the settings through the gear icon and go to Settings.
    2. Select Mail, then Safe Senders.
    3. Enter the sender's email address you want to add to your safe list.
    4. Click Add to include them in the safe senders list.
    5. Click Save to confirm the changes.
    6. Tip: Regularly review this list to ensure that all important contacts are included and avoid missing critical communications.

  4. Check Your Spam Folder Regularly
    1. Open the Spam folder from the sidebar menu.
    2. Look for emails that shouldn't be in spam.
    3. Select the emails and click Not Spam to move them to your inbox.
    4. Tip: Reviewing your spam folder frequently can help you catch any misclassified emails from important senders.
