Configuring Safe Senders in TalkTalk Mail

Ensuring that important emails reach your inbox in TalkTalk Mail is crucial for seamless communication. By configuring safe senders and using allowlists, you can prevent important messages from being incorrectly classified as spam. Follow the steps below to effectively manage your email settings.

Steps to Add Safe Senders in TalkTalk Mail

  1. Add to Contact List:
    1. Open TalkTalk Mail and sign in to your account.
    2. Click on the Contacts icon located in the toolbar.
    3. In the Contacts window, click Add New Contact.
    4. Enter the email address and any additional details you wish to save.
    5. Click Save to ensure this contact is recognized as safe.
  2. Use Email Filters:
    1. From your mailbox, click on the Settings (gear icon) in the upper-right corner.
    2. Select Mail and then Rules from the navigation pane.
    3. Click Create New Rule.
    4. Set the parameters for the rule, such as the sender's email address.
    5. Choose Move to Inbox in the actions to ensure emails from this sender aren't sent to spam.
    6. Click Save to apply the rule.
  3. Add to Safe Senders:
    1. Again, go to Settings.
    2. Navigate to the Spam Settings or Safe Senders section.
    3. Enter the desired email address in the safe senders list.
    4. Click Add followed by Save to confirm.
  4. Create an Allowlist:
    1. In the Security settings, look for Allowlisted Domains.
    2. Enter the domain name you want to allow (e.g., example.com).
    3. Click Add and then Save.
Tip: Regularly review your contacts, safe senders, and rules to ensure your list is up-to-date and all desired emails are reaching your inbox.
