How to Add Safe Senders in Zoho Email

Ensuring important emails reach your Zoho Email inbox is crucial for effective communication. By adding safe senders and configuring your settings correctly, you can minimize the risk of missing essential emails. This guide covers steps to add contacts to your safe list, set up email filters, and manage allowlists.

Steps to Add Safe Senders and Configure Inbox Settings

  1. Add to Contacts:
    1. Log in to your Zoho Mail account.
    2. Open an email from the sender you want to mark as safe.
    3. Hover over the sender's email address in the email header.
    4. Click on the drop-down arrow that appears next to the email address.
    5. Select Add to Contacts.
    6. Adding a sender to contacts ensures their emails land in your inbox directly.

  2. Creating Filters to Allow Specific Senders:
    1. Go to the Settings by clicking on the gear icon in the top-right corner.
    2. Navigate to Email Filters under the Mail section.
    3. Click on New Filter.
    4. Fill in the required fields:
      • Filter Name: A name for your filter (e.g., "Safe Senders").
      • Conditions: Set conditions like "From contains" and enter the sender's email address.
      • Actions: Choose Move to Inbox as the action.
    5. Click Save to create the filter.
    6. Filters are particularly useful for emails that might be flagged incorrectly as spam.

  3. Using Allowlists:
    1. In the Settings menu, find the Anti-Spam List under the Mail Accounts section.
    2. Go to the Allowed List tab.
    3. Click on Add and enter the email addresses or domains you want to allow.
    4. Click Save to add these to your allowlist.
    5. Use allowlists to ensure all emails from specific addresses or domains are permitted through the spam filter.

  4. Regularly Check Spam/Junk Folder:
    1. Open your Spam or Junk folder periodically to ensure no important emails are mistakenly marked as spam.
    2. If you find an important email, mark it as "Not Spam" to train the filter.
    3. Regularly checking this folder helps improve your email filtering over time.

Following these steps will enhance your email management in Zoho Mail, ensuring you receive important communication promptly and without hassle.
